In October 2023, nearly 150 student and professional journalists and videographers from around the country spent a week in Bourbon County documenting the people and places that make the area unique. The project is an annual event called “Mountain Workshops” produced by the Western Kentucky University journalism school. Paris and Bourbon County was the 48th year for Mountain Workshops.

The workshop, which included professionals from USA Today and the New York Times, produced a video documentary about Bourbon County, a 100+page book and a website.

The exhibit will be showcased at Paris Photo Gallery, 723 Main Street, from November 30 until January 10.
